Helping our residents at our Supported Living house in Purley stay active and well
Do you have an interest in health and well-being and enjoy encouraging others to move more? We’re looking for a kind, reliable volunteer to lead a gentle exercise session for our residents once a week.
Your Role:
As our Volunteer Exercise Instructor, you’ll guide a small group of elderly residents through light, enjoyable movement, such as seated stretches, balance work, and simple routines to music. You don’t need to be a fitness professional, but a basic understanding of well-being, mobility, and the benefits of regular movement will help you make each session both safe and uplifting.
Sessions typically last 30 minutes from 10.30am until 11am followed by coffee and a chat until 11.30am, weekly.
Your friendly nature and enthusiasm for helping others stay active will make a real difference to our residents’ health, confidence, and happiness.
